Social Recruitment Survey
Days ago, I downloaded one survey report issued by Jobvite who is a provider of next-generation recruitment solutions. This survey has been published in 2008 which is focusing on social recruitment. Social recruitment is the practice of leveraging social and professional networks, online and offline, for talent acquisition. The survey shows that companies are increasingly tapping social networks to find employees. But most have yet to implement a comprehensive social recruitment strategy that fully leverages companies' most valuable social networks – those of their employees.
Build a Successful Employee Referral Program
Employee referral is an internal recruitment method employed by organisations to identify potential candidates from their existing employees social networks. An employee referral scheme encourages a company's existing employees to select and recruit the suitable candidates from their social networks. As a reward, the employer typically pays the referring employee a referral bonus. Recruiting candidates using employee referral is widely acknowledged as being the most cost effective and efficient recruitment method to recruit candidates and as such, employers of all sizes, across all industries are trying to increases the volumes they recruit through this channel.
How to conduct CV screening
The goal of the resume screening process is to select the top candidates that the recruiter will contact for the first round of interviews. Screening resumes will help you determine which candidates to move forward in the interview and selection process by comparing their qualifications to the minimum position requirements.Narrowing the list of candidates that apply for your position can be challenging, especially if there are many qualified applicants. The first step with selecting appropriate candidates is to screen the cover letter (if applicable) and resume of each applicant. The resume will tell you what the candidate has done, but not how well he/she did it.
IBM 2009 Blue Pathway Campus Talk
When I looked out the window and found out there were more than 2000 students in the queue waiting to enter the venue. This is not the first time I saw so many graduates to participate in IBM's campus talk in Peking University, last year, the same time, the same place, and more than 3,000 students coming for it. Recalled the year of my first time in charge of campus recruiting, I was so excited for 600 graduates participating in the event. It is difficult to imagine, only after a few years of changes, the campus talk campaign can be made like this.
