In last article, I introduced one type of Virtual Recruitment Fairs which distributed company info, positions, videos as well as application forms through a CD together with a technical manazine to target audience. This is something more like an e-magazine, which IBM China did lots in its campus recruitment. Last year, we put a special designed e-magazine into a CD and distributed thousands to our target students in target universities, which gave students a whole picture about IBM China and its campus recruitment. This powerful CD generates lots of interests for students to participate on campus talk later and apply for our internship positions. Here I provide some screenshots as an example for your information.

This method is quite effective and powerful in terms of employer branding promotion, information sharing and interest generation. However, it can not provide further functions like online application, online Q&A, online interview and so forth after pepole learn you enough and look forward to proceeding further. "In Demand People" Online Job Fair was a trial I have ever designed and implemented to achieve the rest of functions in "One Stop" site.

It is a program geared towards current software development talents locally and globally to place them in IBM to meet the high volume hiring demands. As a complement to other recruitment programs, such as, company ATS, ERBP, Agency Hiring, etc, online job fair could provide a powerful platform for applicants to participate in this online job event to get hired quickly without geographic limitation. Applicants can submit their resumes in a 24*7 environment and get the real-time response. Qualified candidates will be invited to attend the online interview session with IBM hiring managers and could participate the interview (audio& video) anywhere easily. More benefits: to shorten recruitment cycle time and reduce hiring cost and to create a new model for applicant attraction to fulfill high volume hiring. Just like its slogn: "Forget paying job fair ticket, forget walking through the stands and crowd, because you will be able to communicate with IBM directly from the comfort of your your PC.", it really changes our orginal ideas about offline job fair. Here come the online Job fair entry page and the application supporting the desired functions behind it.

Once applicants register their account on this platform, then, they could use the User ID and Password to access the job fair tool, which is more like a candidate interface portal integrating more functions like submitting application forms online, log on public chat room to ask their concerned questions to recruitment admin and get immediate feedbacks. Also recruitment admin can simply click their names to call their application forms to front. Qualified candidates will receive a unique linkage and online interview shedule to participate the online video interview with hiring managers. Even the candidates can set interview alerts to remind himself/herself. This is a kind of end-to-end solution starting from online application to online interview. The most fabulous thing is that people can get interviewed even don't need to leave their desks.

From the above screenshot you can see, video interview and text chart are enabled on the left hand. Meanwhile, hiring managers can ask interview questions according to their application forms on the upper right section and fill in the online evaluation form below it at the same time.
